Classes appropriate for new students include Beginners Yoga/Free Community Class, Slow Flow, and Flow.
Please wear comfortable clothing, arrive about ten minutes before your first class, and bring a yoga mat if you have one (we also have mats to borrow free of charge).
To access our studio, go to the main entrance (northeast corner) of the McKesson Lofts building and follow the instructions at the buzzer.
We welcome new students at any time, whether new to the area, new to the Ashtanga system of practice, or new to yoga altogether. Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it, otherwise we have mats available for use (no charge). Plan to show up about ten minutes before class time. View payment options and class times on our schedule page. Click on any class to read a class description, or read about all classes here.

We offer two opportunities for new students: two weeks of unlimited classes for $25. We also offer a free Community Class weekly on Saturdays at 10a. New students may attend any drop-in class; view more specific class recommendations below.
Yoga is naturally therapeutic and generates excellent health. No flexibility or skill is required to access these benefits. If you have a particular injury, medical condition, or health concern, please let us know before class. Many common conditions, such as back pain, stress, and insomnia, to name but a few, respond very well to general classes.
Our classes derive from a system or style of yoga called Ashtanga. This system generates more strength, especially upper body and core, than most other styles of yoga. It also promotes flexibility in equal measure. By synchronizing movements with breathing, concentration, calm and poise naturally develop.
We recommend that new students attend Beginners Yoga, Slow Flow, or Flow classes (listed in order of intensity). Students interested in traditional Ashtanga may start with Mysore-style self-practice (no experience necessary) or our Intro to Ashtanga six-week course. For specific recommendations on classes based on your situation, please contact us. See you in class.
