Yoga is an ancient tradition of personal exploration and growth. At tapas, we are proud to be the premiere studio for Quad Cities yoga, and honored to share this transformative discipline with so many.
We practice and teach a powerful, flowing form of yoga called Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, as taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. Ashtanga yoga weaves together breath and movement. Over time, this mindfulness practice generates vibrant health and awakens the intelligence of the body and mind.
As studio owners, teachers, and practitioners, we bring unmatched enthusiasm, experience, and expertise to the physical and contemplative aspects of yoga practice. Come see how yoga practice can open the body, ease the mind, and warm the heart.
In imagery, iconography and language, yoga is culturally Eastern, specifically Indian, but its essence is universal, resonant, and ultimately rooted in experience rather than concept, thought, or intellectual definition. In this way it transcends all apparent boundaries and distinctions, and yet remains as intimate and personal as the breath. We are committed to uncovering and sharing the remarkable physical potential and piercing insight and awareness available through this practice.

— Stephanie's 8-9a Fit Flow is now a weekly drop in class, 8-9a Saturdays. It's fitness-inspired flow yoga to burn fat and build flexibility and strength, especially in the upper body and core. Work from beginner to more challenging postures and longer holds. All levels.
